Walmart (Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.) has announced a recall of over 70,000 Mainstays five-piece card table and chair sets following numerous reports of fall hazards and finger amputations.

The chairs, sold in stores from May-November of 2013 for ~$50, are reportedly able to collapse unexpectedly. This, of course, can pose serious harm to those using the product. Walmart has already received at least 10 reports of injuries, including three amputated fingertips, one amputated finger, a sore back, as well as sprained and fractured fingers.

If you believe you own this Mainstays five-piece card table and chair set, you are advised to stop using it, and return the item to Walmart for a full refund.
