RECALL — Toyota has announced that they are issuing a recall for ~4,000 Tacoma pickup trucks due to an engine valve spring problem, which could lead to engine failure.

If you have a 2013 or 2014 Toyota Tacoma with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, we advise you to call Toyota at 1-800-331-4331 at your earliest convenience. You may also bring your vehicle to a Toyota Dealership – especially if you’re noticing problems. Apparently the engine valve springs can develop cracks, causing them to break over time. If this occurs, the driver will likely hear an abnormal noise and experience rough engine performance. In some cases, the engine suffers total failure and could stop running while the vehicle is being driven.

If you have more questions, see your Toyota dealer for more information.
